In my first week of learning online, I struggled massively. I did not understand how to use Zoom or Canvas despite it being straightforward. This lead to me being frustrated with myself even though I was not the only one feeling this way. It was irritating not being able to ask anyone for advice on how to use them. Knowing I would fall behind quickly if I did not learn how to maneuver the learning tools, I used the university's technology site LEARNING TECHNOLOGY@LJMU, which supported me by having different pages dedicated to aiding technological problems. By having this useful tool, I knew difficulties in the future like this could easily be solved and not to stress about it too much. I now know I can refer back to this website if I am having any similar problems.

By using videos, I concluded that I am a visual learner, with this being the easiest and most effective way that I retain information. I never knew about myself and can now use this to help me study for future exams and assignments because I have always struggled with comprehending certain types of information in different ways, such as auditory learning.

Lately, we have been learning how to source information and evaluate and discuss with our peers. As one of our independent study tasks, I was asked to write about something business-related. I already knew I wanted to discuss something woman empowering and diverse. Approaching the given task, I used lectures to understand the concept of starting to write formally. Using guidelines, I created my first piece of academic writing. Submitting it, I felt nervous as it was my first piece of real work. It made me wonder whether there was anything I could have done better on it. Even with small inconsistencies, it can knock your confidence a lot and leave you feeling dissatisfied and resentful to doing anything else work-related. However, from this experience, I have realized that all you can do is try your best and use feedback to improve and restructure how you approach assignments and tasks given.
